When Jagatjanani Maa Tripurasundari blessed me with her divine vision, I ran and prostrated on her feet – these words are written in the handwritten diary of an 18- year-old youth, which he started writing at the tender age of 12. After reading this, this curiosity must have arisen in your mind that in this materialistic era, who can be such a young man who has blessed with the divine vision of Divine Mother? The name of this highly revered young man is Nandkishore Sharda
Shri Nandkishore Sharda , who was affectionately called 'Bhaiya' by all, was born on July 16, 1944, in Jodhpur, in the affluent and devotional family of Smt. Tulsi Devi and Shri Vijaykishan Ji Sharda. Shri Sharda was a brilliant student of science. He possessed extraordinary intellect and a charismatic personality.
In 1959, when Shri Nandkishoree Sharda was only 15 years old, the sudden demise of his father deeply perturbed him and he realized the mortality of this physical body. At that very instant, he resolved that he would abstain from all attractions of the materialistic world and search the cosmic power that drives/governs this physical body for so many years viz. What is that power? How does it run the physical body? What is the purpose of human life? How should one lead one’s life?
He went to many sadhus, ‘tantriks’, saints and mahatmas in search of his quest. He also read various spiritual and religious books but could not get any satisfactory answer anywhere. Once, when he was strolling in the valleys near the fort of Jodhpur, he saw a temple of the Divine Mother on the top of a hillock (Tekri) . When he climbed and entered the temple, he felt great peace and tranquility. He then completely surrendered and devoted himself to the Divine Mother and solemnly worshiped her day and night with full dedication. The Divine Mother could not keep herself away from this simple, innocent child and blessed him with her divine vision. The Divine Mother bestowed many divine powers upon her beloved son which were later used by him for the welfare of the masses.
Bhiaya ji himself performed very austere penance (sadhna) but showed us the simple path. If we perform ‘sadhna’ with devotion, faith, love and dedication, then Bhaiya ji would unite us also with the Divine Mother.
Bhaiya ji performed divine ‘sadhna’ of highest order under the guidance and supervision of the Divine Mother herself. The divine ambrosial knowledge that he received from the Divine Mother and his own divine experiences have been presented in the divine book "Wonderful World After Death" . Starting with science and then going beyond its realm, he has explained the origin and formation of the universe, the divine powers and their abodes, the importance of divine powers, the ultimate goal of human life, etc. in this book. Reading this book builds unshakeable trust and faith in the Almighty and divinity.
The personality, works and accomplishments of Bhaiya ji are described in detail in the book Maa Tripurasundari Ke Laadle Chakradhari Yuga Pravartak Adhyatmayogi Shri Nandkishore Sharda". This book also includes a few pages of his handwritten diary which deeply reflects his devotion towards the Divine Mother, his philosophical thoughts, and the divine knowledge and experiences gained through the Divine Mother.
Through the 'Swami Vivekananda Student’s Welfare Charitable Trust' established in 1996 for girls education, he illuminated the lives of thousands of girls and inculcated high moral values in them, thus giving them a ray of hope and paving the path for their bright future. This was a perfect example of selfless service (Nishkaam Karma) set by him.
On January 24, 2003, on Vivekananda Jayanti, he left this mortal world for the divine abode. While living in the world, he remained untouched by all worldly vices and dedicated himself incessantly towards selfless work and presented a perfect example of ‘Sthit Pragya’ life- the perfect sage. The "Manidweep Ka Adhyatma Purush- Shri Nandkishore Sharda" , a memoir on his personality and accomplishments, comprises articles of more than 350 eminent persons from all walks of life, expressing their intimate thoughts and paying their homage and tribute to him.
His high thoughts and values, his great deeds, his perception of transcendental knowledge and his spiritual experiences are now illuminating the path of masses. Thousands of people consider him as their inspiration and are progressing materialistically as well as spiritually by applying his thoughts and principles. All this has been possible because of the Divine Mother Jagatjanani Maa Tripurasundari’s blessings and grace on him.
The government also recognized his noble deeds. In order to honour him, and keep his memories forever and inspire the masses, the government, in 2012, decided to name a road in his honour. The Fifth to Twelfth Pal Road, Sardarpura, Jodhpur has been named "Nandkishore Sharda Marg" in his honor. Similarly, in 2013 , a road was named 'Adhyatmayogi Shri Nandkishore Sharda Marg' in Balotra (Barmer district) in his honour, and in the year 2022 , a road has been named "Yugpravartak Shri Nandkishore Sharda" in Jasol town of Barmer district.
Through his utmost dedication, sincerity, truthfulness, renunciation and single mindedness, Shri Nandkishore ji Sharda mastered all the four extremely difficult sadhnas – Bhakti Yoga, Gyan Yoga, Nishkam Karma Yoga and Yoga Sadhana . However, he realized that all these sadhnas are very difficult to be implemented by the common masses in today's era. Therefore, for the welfare of the masses, he simplified and combined these four sadhnas and propounded a simple,contemporary, yet very effective technique, called 'Buddhi-Vivek Yoga Sadhana' for material and spiritual progress and attaining real happiness, peace and bliss. Bhaiyyaji's contribution to mankind is extraordinary in itself and unmatched in this era. As per the needs of the present era, he gave new ideology, new technique, new divine knowledge in the field of physical (materialism), social and spiritual. Consequently, a team of such people is getting prepared who are determined and dedicated to restore human qualities. He awakened a new consciousness in this era and gave life to the spirit of universal brotherhood and world peace. He led mankind from darkness to light and always lived up to the aspirations and expectations of the masses. Mother Earth is blessed to have had such a son.
